James L. Salm, 78, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away November 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Evansville. He was born on October 6, 1939 to Robert L. and Virginia Salm.
He was a graduate of Kennedy Western University and established Manufacturing Advisory Service in 1984. Jim enjoyed golf, bowling and football, cheering for Ohio State, Notre Dame and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed vintage cars and driving his Corvette.
Survivors include Sue, his wife of 52 years; sons Robert of Bowling Green, KY, and Douglas (Jessica) of Boonville; daughter, Angela Paul (Ron) of Newburgh. Also surviving are grandchildren Emily and Ashley Paul and Taylor and Christian Salm; brothers, David (Carol) of Florida and Michael (Cyndi) of South Carolina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., Friday at Titzer Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN, (812) 853-8314. Also, 9 a.m. to Mass time Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newburgh Area Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
