James Thomas Farmer, 95, of Evansville, IN, passed away August 27, 2018 at home. He was born on March 20, 1923 in Russellville, KY to David and Alice (Pulley) Farmer. He was a 50 year member of Eastside Church of God. He retired after 25 years from Inland Container. James loved horses and motorcycles and he enjoyed working on cars. He helped build several churches.
James was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Kellough; sisters, Beatrice Renfro, Sarah Austin, and Louise Duff; brother, Edgar Farmer.
He is survived his wife of 40 years, Christine; children, Charles Edward Farmer, Jean Day, Judy Farmer, Jackie Garrison, Roger Bryant, and Lisa Current; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon with service at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Eastside Church of God, 2620 S. Alford Blvd. Evansville. Pastor Bill Heard and Pastor Eddie Carroll will officiate.
