James William Hinsey

James William Hinsey, 91 of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital.  He was born in Hawesville, KY on August 31, 1928 to Charles B. Hinsey and Rose Mary (Blinco) Hinsey.  James worked in Maintenance  for Bucyrus-Erie for 29 years.  He served in the United States Army from 1943 through 1953 during World War II and the Korean War.  He was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hinsey (Shockley); sisters, Bridgette, Ellen, Margaret, Lucy and Beatrice.

He is survived by sons, James, Bill (Patty),Thomas (Danielle), John (Sara), and Wayne; daughter, Teresa Cron (Paul); numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for James will be Friday, February 21, 2020 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes~Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314.  Visitation will be Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh with full Military Rites.
