John Edward Kissinger, 90, passed away, Friday, February 28, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1923, in Petersburg, Ind., to John Henry and Olga (Bell) Kissinger.
John served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific. He worked at Servel, Arkla, and Preway then after retiring he was a night watchman for J-H Service Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eunice Evelyn Kissinger; and three sisters.
John is survived by his son, Paul E. Kissinger of Elberfeld; daughter, Linda Champion of Kannapolis, NC; daughter, Carolyn Parrish of Somerville, Ind., three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Woodmont Nursing Home and St. Mary's Medical Center for all of their kind and caring deeds to provide for their father.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Sts., Elberfeld, Ind., (812) 983-4211. Rev. Lester Howard will officiate and burial will follow in Nobles Chapel Cemetery.
