Joseph Harvey Roth, Jr., 67, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Evansville on September 26, 1946 to the late Joseph Harvey Roth, Sr. and Onita (Howell) Roth. He graduated from North High School in 1965. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for many years. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberfeld, a Sunday school director and deacon for many years. He was also a Civil Defense volunteer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Harvey Roth, III; brother, Phil Roth. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Ann; daughter, Sherri (Joe) White and son, Charles Edward Roth; grandchildren, Daniel (Kelly) Roth, David (Brenda) Ballow, Andrew White, Robin (Ryan) Lutz, and Christopher Evan Roth; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN.(812)983-4211. Rev. David Shoultz and Rev. Jack Neighbors will officiate. Burial will be in Susott Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday November 4, 2013 and on Tuesday 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
