Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM., Monday at the funeral home and again from 9 AM. until time of service on Tuesday.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 10 am., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN. 47630, (812) 853-8314, officiated by Rev. Father Ted Tempel, burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery.

Joseph "Wayne" Evans, 77, of Evansville, passed away surrounded by his family on September 10, 2020 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IndianaWayne was born October 29, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to Floyd J. Evans and Matilda V. (Hagan) Evans.

He attended Memorial High School. Wayne formerly worked for Whirlpool for 39 years, truckdriver for Miller Brothers Farms, Mosbey Farms, Kreitzer and Folz Farms and Walts Trucking.                            

Wayne served in the Indiana National Guard for several years and was a member of the American Legion Post #265.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jane Evans, and a step-son, William Johns.

He is survived by his daughters, Candy (Cesar) Lozano of Newburgh, Cathy Patton of Evansville, step-daughters, Kimberly (Jeff) Liberman of Evansville, Mary (Ed) Roby of Evansville, step-son Matthew (Beth) Johns of Evansville, brothers, Mike (June) Evans of Evansville, Butch (Debbie) Evans of SC., sister, Sharon Smith of Evansville, 4 grandkids, Brooke Carter, Destinee Patton, Paige Gaw, Cameron Gaw, 3 great grandchildren, Kylie Thaxton, Christian Carter, Emmaire Sanders, step-grandkids, Matthew Johns Jr., Jessica Johns, JP Devine, Hannah Devine, Lauren Liberman, John Liberman, Andy Cook, Liz McCullough, great granddaughter, Ellie McCullough.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather as well as a friend to many. He enjoyed farming, and taking car rides with his best friend, Betty Woodard and Tractor pulling. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all knew him.
