Karl Alan Klippel, 56, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in Newburgh. He was born June 22, 1959, in Evansville to Melvin Curtis and Barbara (Castle) Klippel. Karl was an avid Castle fan and graduated from Castle High School in 1977 where he was a Drum Major from 75-77, he then went onto Butler University. He worked at Droste’s Jewelry Store and attended Newburgh United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Klippel. Karl is survived by his mother, Barbara Klippel; sister, Karen Klippel Hardison; brother, Kenneth Klippel; two nephews; one great-nephew; one great-niece. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
