Katrina Elizabeth (Goffinet) Bateman, 37, of Kingston, Washington, passed away, March 2, 2017, at her home. She was born August 15, 1979, in Greencastle, Ind., to Matthew Craig Goffinet and Kathleen Ann (Wright) Fischer.
Katrina graduated from Reitz in 1997, then went on to Purdue where she earned a Pharm D Degree and then became a Pharmacist. She enjoyed volleyball and fast pitch softball. Katrina played the violin and the piano; she loved to sing and was honored to try out for American Idol.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Betty and John Wright; and paternal grandparents, C. Matt and Pat Goffinet.
Katrina is survived by her husband, Phil Bateman; mother, Kate Fischer (Joe); father, Matt Goffinet (Joan); sisters, Heather Nance (Mark), Courtney Prince (Curt); step-brother, Joe Fischer (Falen); step-sister, Sarah Gaddy; nephews, Aidan Nance, Cooper Prince; niece, Eva Fischer; and her pugs, Daisy and Bella.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 17, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
