Kiel Mathu McCully, 39, of Lincolnwood, Ill., formerly of Newburgh, Ind., passed away, February 1, 2017, with his family at his side. He was born on March 27, 1977, to John Richard McCully III and the late Cindy Sue (Wildman) McCully, in Evansville, Ind.
He graduated from Castle High School and moved to Chicago in 1999. He began working with the Blue Man Group, where he met his wife Minna. After graduating from DuPaul University with a B.A. he began a career in real estate and property management.
Kiel was a devoted husband and adored his son Asa. He was a great big brother and uncle. Also a fun-loving loyal friend.
Survivors include his wife, Minna (Koolkin) McCully; son, Asa Harrison McCully; his father, John McCully III; step-mother, Kathy; brother, John McCully IV; sister-in-law, Bobbie, their sons, Aaron and John (J5) McCully; sister, Brandy Kirkman, husband, Eric and their daughter, Emma; and step-mother, Shelby. Many aunts, uncles, and close friends also survive him.
A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m., with visitation beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Sympathy wishes to the family may be shared at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
