Krista Lutterman Hurt, 35, of Newburgh, Ind., went to be with her Lord and
Savior on September 4, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family at
her home. Krista was born in Evansville on December 20, 1976, to Randall
J. and Virginia Edith (Engelbrecht) Lutterman. Krista graduated as
Salutatorian from Castle High School in 1995. She was Phi Beta Kappa at
DePauw University, graduating in 1999 and later becoming a
pharmaceutical rep for Janssen Pharmaceutical. Krista was a proud, loyal
member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Krista was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Harold
Lutterman, and maternal grandparents, Bob and Peg Engelbrecht.
Krista is survived by her husband, Doug Hurt; daughter, Gretchen; son, Bo;
parents, Randy and Ginger Lutterman; sister, Katie (Brandon) Taylor;
paternal grandmother, Jean Lutterman; mother and father-in-law, Leanette
and Scott Gardner; sister-in-law, Elanie (Doug) Arnold; nieces, Kendall
Taylor, Jacie Arnold, and Elcie Arnold.
A memorial celebration of Krista's life will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday,
September 8, 2012, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd in
Evansville, Ind. Visitation will begin at 10am.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the
Krista Hurt Scholarship Fund to benefit Castle High School students.
Contributions will be accepted at any Old National Bank branch.
