Kristine Elise Thompson, 30, of Newburgh, went peacefully to be with the
Lord in her sleep on August 26, 2009 at home. A place in Heaven has been
given to her, free from her ailments here on Earth.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 8, 1979, she has resided in
Newburgh, Terre Haute, and western Colorado. A 2000 graduate of Terre
Haute North Vigo High School, Krissy was very active in Special Olympics
bowling and was a treasure to all those who knew her. She is deeply missed
by all those who love her, including her parents, Michael & Kathryn
Thompson, of Newburgh, brother, Justin Thompson, at home, sister, Shelley
(Brandon) Monticue, of Markle, IN, and their children, Michaela & Angelica,
Krissy's cherished nieces. Surviving also is her maternal grandmother, Mary
Robinett, of El Paso, TX, and paternal grandparents, John & Emily
Thompson of Newburgh, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Col Eugene Robinett, USAF
Retired.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August
31, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, with
Father Joseph Ziliak officiating and burial following at St. John the Baptist
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009, with a
prayer service at 6 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel,
510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Indiana (812) 853-8314. Additional
visitation will be held, Monday, 10 a.m. to time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Special Olympics.
