Kurt Kluger, 88, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1927 in Chicago, IL to the late Doris May (Curtiss) and Elmer William Kluger. He lived in Newburgh most of his adult life. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and served on the USS Sangay.
Kurt attended the University of Evansville where he met his wife, Marilyn Marshall. They were married on June 16, 1950. In 1964 he established the Newburgh Country Store where he was proprietor until his retirement in 2007.
Kurt is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn Kluger; sons, James Kurt Kluger and Robert Kevin Kluger (Susan Kay); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Dolores M. Siltanen (James).
Services were held on December 3, 2015 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, Newburgh, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
