Larry David James, 71, of Cannelton, IN passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehab in Morganfield, KY.  He was born August 4, 1947 in Perry County Indiana to the late Willard P. and Myrtle (Wheatley) James.

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing; and played darts for 24 years.  He loved his wife and his girls, son and step-son, and his grandkids.  He loved to go to Florida and to be on the beach. 

He retired from Alcoa after working there for 37 years.  He was of catholic faith; and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1172 and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2065 both in Tell City.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Donna James (1988); sisters, Cheryl Lynn Redden, Karen Ann Etienne, Tina Purcell; and step-son, Troy Pepper.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Colleen Gail (Hopper) James; daughters, Dawn Zimmerman (Russell), Marcie Underhill (Earl), Renee Harper (Steve); son, Corey James; step-son, Chuck Pepper; siblings, Joe Wayne, Ronnie, Paul Ray, Kevin, Randy, Kenny, Eletta, Eny; grandchildren, David, Brandon, Aaron, Ryan, Dakota, Makayla, Luke, Logan; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Newburgh.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, with the Knights of Columbus conducting a Memorial Service, and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Sympathy wishes may be shared at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
