Leo B. Miller, 84, of Newburgh, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008, at Cypress Grove Nursing Home. He was born January 29, 1924, in Rockport to Rosalie (Weber) and Andrew Miller. Leo was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, nut trees, and camping. Leo was a truck mechanic and he retired from Alcoa after 21 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cypress Grove for the care of their father. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalie (Weber) and Andrew Miller, his 1st wife, Marie (Herr) Miller, his 2nd wife, Rosalie Miller, and two brothers, Andrew and Richard Miller. He is survived by his children, Gary Miller (Donna) of Newburgh, Joe Miller (Kathy) of Boonville, Mike Miller (Linda), Ray Miller (Rosann) all of Newburgh, Janet Down (Jim) of Cincinnati, Annette Kaufmann (Ted) of Boonville; and two step-children, Dennis Skinner and Suzanne Wannemuehler. Grandchildren and their spouses: David (Debi) and Kevin Miller; Matt (Amy) and Mark Miller; Adam, April, and Austin Miller; Rachel and Hanah Miller; Kenneth and Ann Marie Kaufmann; three step-grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey, and Christin Skinner; two great grandchildren, one sister, Rita Shekell and two brothers; Leonard and Mike Miller, all of Chandler. A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, with Father Joseph Ziliak officiating and burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Titzer Family Funeral Home ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St, Newburgh, 812-853-8314.
