Leroy Hale, 88, of Evansville, IN., loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, and great - great grandpa, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Leroy was born in Patoka IN., to the late Edward and Ludie Hale who preceded him in death along with three brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Margaret Hale, son, Danny Hale (Leanne) of Maunie, IL. daughter, Julie Mayberry (Joe) of Logan, IL. Three grandchildren; Terra Edwards of Holland, IN., Brandy English (Daniel) of Evansville, IN., Ryan McGhee (Heather) of Hatfield, IN. Nine great grandchildren; Justice, Tristan, Anthony, Braden, Caleb, Dante, Morgan, Hadlee, and Ryder. Five great -great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Leroy served in the United States Army. He retired from Evansville Brewery after 32 years of service. He loved hunting, especially squirrel hunting with his brother Johnie, as well, as well as fishing. He loved hunting morel mushrooms, playing basketball, watching sports, and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Leroy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a compassionate man and a caregiver for his family. He will be greatly missed here on Earth and greatly welcomed by his loved ones in Heaven.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1800 Saint George Rd., Evansville, IN 47711 with full Military Honors.
