Loraine E. (Ary) Loge, 92, of Evansville, IN, passed away, Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville. She was born January 6, 1917 in Calhoun, GA to Thomas L. and Sadie (Russell) Ary. After two years in Georgia, where her father was buying lumber for his sawmill, the family returned to Evansville. Loraine attended Carpenter and Fulton Grade School, Central High School, and USI. She retired after fifteen years from Deaconess Hospital. Prior to the hospital, she managed Readmore Card Shop on Main St. for the Loge News Co. She volunteered, lately, for the Evansville Rescue Mission, the Wearhouse Store on Washington Ave., SWIRCA's nutrition department, the Tuesday Morning Prayer Band, and was a greeter at Bible center Cathedral, where she was a member for sixty years. She also was involved in the church's senior citizen monthly luncheons. Loraine was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #1114 on Wabash Ave. and Evansville Eastern Star Chapter #555. Her husband James F. Loge, died in 1964 from a heart attack. She was the last survivor of thirteen children by Sadie and Thomas Ary. Loraine is survived by her son, James R. Loge of Evansville; six nieces, seven nephews, two sisters-in-law, and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN. Rev. Alan Shelby will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, IN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 and Thursday, 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. A special thanks to Loraine's physician of thirty years, Dr. William Hardesty, his nurse, Sylvia, and his entire staff. A special thanks to her son, James R.
