Madie B. Gray, 96, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House. She was born November 24, 1922 in Pike County Indiana to the late Orian Virgil and Maude (Adkinson) Culver. She graduated from Oakland City High School in 1942. Madie was a nurses aid at St. Mary's Hospital for 16 years and also worked for Servel for 14 years. She was a member of Tops Club and was a former member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. Madie loved to sew and fix up old houses, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Madie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emmett Garland Gray; brothers, Arthur Culver, Clarence Culver; daughter, Emma J. Hagan; and nephew, Carol Culver. She is survived by her son-in-law, Kenneth W. Hagan of Evansville; son, Charles Gray (Katie) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Clinton Albright, Sean Hagan (January), Nicole North (David); and great-grandchildren, Jayna Albright, Joshua Oare, Ella North, Presley North, Kennedy North, Sophia North, Jacob Hagan, Hannah Hagan. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2018 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St., Evansville, IN (812) 424-9288. Rev. Danny Walker will officiate and entombment will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
