Marcella A. Garrett, formerly of Evansville, 87, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her daughter's home. She was born May 6, 1923, in Evansville, to Hillary & Mary E. (Jarboe) Pate. She was a salesperson at Beard's Sporting Goods in Evansville, & was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Marcella loved to crochet, quilt, & play bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillary & Mary; husband, Frank M. Garrett, died 1994; 2 sons, William D. Garrett, died 1948, & David F. Garrett, died 1967; & brothers & sisters. Marcella is survived by her daughter for whom she lived with and cared for her, Kathy A. Garrett of Mt. Vernon; & sister, Frances K. Corn of St. Louis, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 600 Herndon Dr, Evansville, Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E Columbia St, Evansville, (812) 424-9274, a rosary service will be at 7 p.m., & 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at church.
