Marcella (Sue) W. Perigo, 91, of Boonville, Ind., passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Woodmont Health Campus. She was born October 20, 1924, in Baskett, Kentucky, to Chester Henry and Sudie Frances (Mitchell) Williams.
Marcella worked at Jake Clark's Dry Cleaners and Alterations. She was an accomplished seamstress and did alterations for many years. Marcella was a member of the Embroiderers Guild of America. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church of Boonville. Marcella was a field contact for the American Red Cross, a past member of the Boonville Elks Lodge #1180, and the Boonville Country Club. She loved to play golf; she loved her Boston Bull dogs; and was very talented when it came to cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, James Roland Perigo; sisters, Agnes M. LeGout, Marcia W. Decker, Frances Edwards; brothers, Mitchell, Thomas, Cecil, and Bona Ray (B.R.) Williams.
Marcella is survived by her sister, Mary Wright; nieces and nephews, Chester Williams, Charlotte Ann Tarr, Fred Wright, William Wright, Becky Nall, Cindy Stevens, Pam Burnett, Sandra Morris, Terry Williams, Tammy Roney, Susan Decker, Jim Decker, Mike Edwards, Tom Edwards.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 222 E. Main St., Boonville, Ind. Rev. Greg Pimlott will officiate and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
