Marguerite (Smith) Robertson, 100, of Newburgh, Ind., formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her daughter's home in Newburgh, Ind. She was born December 12, 1915 in Ontario, NY to Jay and Carrie (Truax) Smith. Marguerite received an Master Degree in Geology from the University of Rochester NY. She was a certified Brailist for some 30 years transcribing text books into brail. Marguerite was a member of Greece Baptist Church, Rochester, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, C. Earl Robertson; and brother, Harold Smith. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Jean Robertson (David Stephens); son, Richard Robertson; grandsons, Mark Robertson, Christopher Robertson (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Blaze and Luna. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Deaconess VNA Plus, especially Barb Varner, Mary Willett, Lura McDaniel, and Shirley Barbre for their care and dedication. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314.
