Margurite Louise Blair of Newburgh
Margurite Louise Blair, 88, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Golden Living Woodlands Nursing Center. She was born June 14, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Ezra and Commie (Howard) Farmer. She graduated from Fordsville High School in 1947. She married Byers Virgil Blair in 1948 and celebrated 41 years together before his death in 1989. In 1962, Margurite received a Certificate in Cosmetology and operated a beauty salon in her home for 20 years. She also drove a school bus for the Warrick County School Corporation for 24 years. For the past 7 years she has lived at Bell Oaks Assisted Living in Newburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil; son, Kevin Dean Blair. Margurite is survived by children, Rebecca Ann (Blair) Stangl and her husband, George of McQueeney, Texas; Terry Lynn Blair, and Roger Dale Blair and his wife Donna of Richland, Indiana; brother, William Dempsey Farmer and his wife Melody of Owensboro, Kentucky; sister, Martha Rose Channell of Watkinsville, Georgia; niece and nephews, Tonya Glick, Charles, Douglas, and Greg Tinberg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday June 2, 2017 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Indiana (812) 853-8314. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 and Friday 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
