Marie F. Highsmith, 88, of Lynnville, formally of Snake Run, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. She was born December 9, 1921 to Dewey and Beulah (Pagan) Lester, Sr. She graduated from Central High School in Manchester, TN. She was a homemaker and member of Nobles Chapel Church in Elberfeld. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; brother, Dewey R. Lester, Jr., and three sisters, Violet Lester Thomas, Annabelle Lester Jernigan, and Billie Lester Wyatte. Marie is survived by her son, Kenneth (Skip) Highsmith [Cami] of Winslow; daughter, Sharon (Susie) West [David] of Lynnville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Nobles Chapel, Hwy 57 N. & Nobles Chapel Road, Elberfeld, Rev. Lisa Ressler will officiate and burial will follow at Nobles Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Sts.
