Marjorie E. Bertram Marjorie E. Bertram, 91, of Haubstadt, went on to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 27, 2008. Marjorie was born April 20, 1917, near Elberfeld, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Amelia Norcross. She graduated from Haubstadt High School and from Evansville College with a degree in Education. She was married to the late, Welzie D. Bertram for over 50 years and together they raised two sons. Marjorie was a life long member of Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and long-time teacher. She taught Latin, English and Business classes at Lynnville High School, Haubstadt High School and retiring from Gibson Southern High School, touching many young lives and helping guide them down the right path in life. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mae. Marjorie is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne Bertram of Oakland City, Ralph and Jeanette Bertram of Winslow; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; sister, Mary of New Mexico and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church Hwy 57 N. and Nobles Chapel Rd. Elberfeld, Indiana. Reverend Jim Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Nobles Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, Indiana. Additional visitation will be Wednesday, 9 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church.
