Marlyn L. (Cobb) Johnson, 82, of Elberfeld, Ind., passed away October 30, 2013, at Good Samaritan Home. She was born March 7, 1931, in Central City Kentucky, to Roy Maynard and Oma Elizabeth (Butler) Cobb. Marlyn was a nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Home. She was a member of New Jerusalem United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star of Lynnville, and 25 years in the White Shriner's of Evansville.
Marlyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Johnson; sister, Wilda Hill; brother, Thomas Cobb .
She is survived by her children, Thomas D. Johnson (Cynthia), Janet Merkel; grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson (Nicole), Kyle Johnson (Alexandra), Bill Merkel (Julie), Kristina Evans (Phil), 5 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Charlotte Oestricher; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, Ind., (812) 983-4211, with Pastor Lisa Ressler officiating. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
