Mary Christine (Hobson) Maurer, 73, of Evansville, Ind., passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, June 5, 2015. She was born April 9, 1942 in Boonville to the late Clem and Emma (Pickens) Hobson. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a spirited individual with a loving soul. She loved life and brought joy to everyone who knew her. She was an avid reader and a great conversationalist and a member of Mensa. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William J. Maurer; siblings, William "Billy" Hobson, Clem Richard Hobson, Jr., Robert Leland Hobson, and Emily Ruth Campton. She is survived by her three children, Angela Pund (Mike) of Patoka, Ind., Timothy Maurer of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, and Susan Zink (Steven) of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; six grandchildren, Shaun Higdon, Alicia Higdon (Scott), Kristie Higdon all of Evansville, Lucas, Daniel, and Jamie Maurer of Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Seth, Aaliyah, and Sophie; siblings, Harold L. Hobson (Marilyn), James Hobson (Patty), Joey L. Hobson (Jane), Kenneth E. Hobson (Charlotte), and Barb Jean Wintenhelmer (Rick). Memorial contributions may be made to the Hadi Shrine Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with services at 7 p.m., Wednesday June 10, 2015 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E.
