Mary D. Champe

Mary D. Champe, age 85, passed away on May 3, 2022, at Deaconess Midway Hospital in Evansville, IN. Mary was born in East Dereham Norfolk, England and had lived in Chicago, IL, for over 30 years before moving to Kentucky in 1999.

Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting, drawing, and gardening. She spent much of her time after retirement with her family and loved her cats.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doreen Kuhlman and Frederick Took; two brothers, Albert Johnson and Geoffrey Johnson; son, Ray Champe; and grandson, James Walker.

Mary leaves behind four daughters, Brenda Gasser and her husband Jerry of Belleville, MI; Christina Walker, Colleen Champe, and Cheryl McKendree and her husband Tim, all of Morganfield, KY. Mary also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date in Michigan.
