Mary Jayne (Hess) Rubsam
Mary Jayne (Hess) Rubsam, 59, of Newburgh, IN, passed away, from natural
causes, Sunday, April 26, 2009 at her residence. She was born December
17, 1949 in Evansville. She was a graduate of Rex Mundi High School and
was the first female cheerleader. Mary Jayne was a member of St. Rupert
Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was an employee of Mac's Barbecue for a number of years and worked
at St. John School Cafeteria for several years.
Mary Jayne was preceded in death by her father, John P. Hess in 2001.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard; son, Brad of Newburgh;
daughter, Roxanne and granddaughter, Alexis Bennington both of West
Harrison, IN; mother, Mary Catherine Hess of Evansville; two sisters, Ellen
Knight (Dudley) and Carole Dixon (Bob) of Evansville; one brother, Ronald
Hess (Francie) of Crawfordsville, IN; sisters-in-law, Madeline Lofton of
Evansville and Marian McNelly (Ken) of Nixa, MO.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2009, with A Mass of
Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 E. Virginia St. Evansville,
IN. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Herr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Titzer
Family Funeral Homes, Newburgh Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh,
Indiana. Additional visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. to service time at
the church.
