Mary Soto of Evansville, Ind. Mary Soto, 97, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born, July 21, 1916, in Slaughters, KY, to Arthur and Lille (Hall) Foster. Mary was a longtime resident of Little Sisters of the Poor. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Hazel Townsend, Loreana Jones, and Ann Bell. Mary is survived by her daughter, Wanda Davidson of Evansville; son, Riley Ashby (Faye) of Bakersfield, CA; nine grandchildren, Debbie Browner, Donna Howard, Mike Ashby, Teresa Boyd, Lisa Davidson, Rick Orange, Steve Orange, Becky Rushing, Vella Hart; and numerous great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St., Evansville, Ind., (812) 424-9288. Father Ted Tempel will officiate and burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, 11 to 12 noon at Little Sisters of the Poor, 1236 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, Ind., and 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
