Michael “Fred” Hooper

Michael R. Hooper, age 72, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away Monday, February 28,2022 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh. He was born April 30,1949 to the late Dr. Jack and Martha (Mitchell) Hooper.

Michael was in the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. He was the recipient of the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Michael worked as a cabinetry salesman and owned a liquor store. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Evansville and the American Legion Kappermann Post 44 in Newburgh.

Michael is survived by one sister Marcia (Robert) Drollinger, two brothers Jim (Sue) Hooper, Mark Hooper, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am.-1:00 pm. on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN. 47630 (812) 853-8314.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with full military rites provided by the American Legion Kappermann Post 44 Honor Guard.
