Michael W. Rowden of Elberfeld Michael W. Rowden, 49, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his residence, after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born June 19, 1963 in Evansville to Carroll and Phyllis (DeJarnett) Rowden. He was a member of Carpenters Union #90 and a supervisor for Floorcovering Emporium and Corporate Design. Michael enjoyed Nascar, hunting and fishing and the great outdoors. He possessed a love of life, and his laughter, friendship and warm presence will be missed by all. Surviving are his parents, Carroll and Phyllis Rowden of Evansville; one sister, Carol Ann Riffert (Jeff) of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Gregory Rowden of Evansville and Mark Rowden (Jennifer) of Newburgh; three nephews, Hayden Rowden, Jeston Riffert, and Oliver Rowden; and the love of his life, his companion, Donna Goodman. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211. Reverend Robert Nall will officiate with burial to follow in Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 and Tuesday noon to time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
