Minnie (Carlisle) Gish Minnie (Carlisle) Gish, 98, of Evansville, passed away, Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Protestant Home. She was born in McClean County, Kentucky on March 30, 1910 to Cyrus and Lula (Cooper) Carlisle. She formerly attended Oak Hill Evangelical Free Church and was formerly a member of Chrysler Retirees 136B. Earlier in her life, she worked for Finderick Cigar Factory and Royal Crown Pottery and The Famous Barr Café. During her thirteen years residing at the Protestant Home, she helped tend the flowers and aided in activities for the residence. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John H. Gish, August 24, 1993; and eleven siblings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, Ronald H. and Marjorie Gish of Evansville; four grandsons, David Gish of Henderson, Nevada, Joe, Paul and Mark Gish all of Evansville; six great- grandchildren, April McCuthan, John, Ann Marie, Jessica, Joshua and Madeleine Gish; four great-great grandchildren, Kyle, Stephanie, Paton and Madison; one sister, Lockye Carlisle of Vancelve, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Protestant Home and Vista Care Hospice for their care. Memorial contributions may be made to the flower fund at the Salem Church of Darmstadt, 14134 Darmstadt Rd. Evansville, Indiana 47725. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, Indiana. Pastor David Peterson will officiate with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2008 and Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
