Nicola Ellis (McKinney) Grissom, 78, of Evansville, passed away, Monday, May 23, 2011 at VNA Charlier Hospice Care. She was born on September 22, 1932 in McHenry, KY to Yandell and Ethel (Gray) McKinney. She retired from TJ Maxx. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert E. Grissom, Sr. Nicola is survived by her children, Dana Burden (Sonnie, Jr.), Deloris Koch (Ron), Kenneth Robinson (Terry), and Kathryn Skoner; grandchildren, Nicola Crystal Kaiser, Kechia Nicole Smith; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Taylor, Cody Kaiser, Kylie Kaiser, and Daxton Smith; 2 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Olivia Warren and Christine Atherton. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time on Wednesday. Condolences may be made @www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
