Norma G. Austen

Norma G. Austen, 80, of Elberfeld, IN, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway. She was born Ocotober 12, 1938 in Indianapolis to Norman Henry and Thelma Audrey (Resler) Gocker.

Norma was a member of Oak Hill Christian Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Gocker; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Taylor. Norma is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Darby Austen; children, Karen Sue Austen, Darby Austen, Jr. (Cindy), Debbie Jane Chapman, David Michael Austen, Brandi Dannyell Austen; grandchildren, Tiffany Ballengee (Justin), Kyle Austen (Lauren), Sarah Austen, Lauren Searcy (Josh); great-grandchildren, Liam Ballengee, Lily Ballengee, Brody Austen, Kadi Searcy, Jace Searcy; and sister Debbie Ann Taylor.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday June 7, 2019 at Ttizer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets., Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211.  Rev.
