Norma Jean Burkett went to her home in heaven on August 17, 2018. She was born March 8, 1933.
She loved quilting, needle point and sewing. She also enjoyed water aerobics, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her children; Kathy Ann Stokes, Richard "Greg" (Terry) Burkett, Kandy (Joe) Sue Smitha, and Marilou Burkett; seven grandchildren, Stacie Berry, Crystal Elderbrook, Sarah Burkett, Daniel (Amy) Burkett, Megan (Scott) Jenkins, Amanda Mason, and Scott Mason; nine great-grandchildren, Todd Berry, Randy Berry, Keristen (William) Sisk, Kaitlyn Sulawski, Cayden Elderbrook, Madison Harlow, Ethan Harlow, Jolene Burkett, and Hunter Baker; four great great-grandchildren, Jamison Sisk, Maxison Sisk, Trenton Sisk, and Rose Berry; niece, Missy (John) Baumgart.
She is also survived by her longtime companion, Thomas Fournier and his children, Debra Sharp, Pam Hastings, Carol Fournier, Julie Fournier and Tom Fournier, Jr. with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that she called her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burkett.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or VNA Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh, IN. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Locust Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Arrangements are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel.
