Norma L. Wyber, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed peacefully from this life and joined her Savior in Heaven on Sunday, October 25, at St. Vincent Hospital - Evansville with her family by her side. She was born in Coffeyville, KS, on September 6, 1948. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from USI and two Master’s degrees in Education from Indiana State. She dedicated her life to preschool ministry for 45 years and taught her church’s toddler Sunday School class as long as she was physically able.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Don and Grace Peterson, and her sister Donna Peterson. She is survived by her loving husband Jeff of almost 52 years, son Alan Wyber (Stacey), of Newburgh, IN; daughter Jenny Shell (Joel) of Jonesboro, AR; grandson Alex Wyber of Palm Harbour, FL; sister Joyce Kimmel (Charlie) of Evansville; brothers Paul Peterson (Cheryl) of Independence, KY; and John Peterson (Debbie) of Decatur, AL; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church from 1:00-2:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 and a memorial service to follow at 2:30 PM at the church. Temperatures will be taken at the door. Masks and social distancing will be required.
