Otillia Rose (Heerdink) Clark, 99, of Evansville, passed away Friday, October 28,
2011 at the Good Samaritan Home. She was born in Evansville on April 15, 1912 to
John Henry and Anna Margaret (Lutterbach) Heerdink. She was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church, in the city, and the Altar Society. She was also a cook and
housekeeper at the Chateau Motel. Tilly also enjoyed gardening, colors of the
seasons changing and most of all her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Walden, Lawrence, Leo,
James, and Fr. Roman Heerdink; one sister, Verena True; granddaughter, Vicki
Clark and step grandson, Randy Thomas.
Otillia is survived by her son, Donald F. Clark (Joan) of Evansville; grandchildren,
Debbie Hall, Randy Clark, Mike Clark, and Jani Calvert; great-grandchildren,
Kareston Hall, Shaun Hall, Max Calvert, and Casey Calvert; great-great
grandchildren, Ivy Lenko and Courtlyn Bales-Hall; step grandchildren, Dale Thomas
and Jeanette Gilger; step great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Brandon Thomas,
Joanie and Janice Gilger; step great-great grandchildren Carson and Aliva Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 E. Virginia St. Evansville, IN. Rev. Fr. Theodore G.
Tempel will officiate. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Tuesday, November 1, 2011 with a rosary service at 4 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral
