Patricia Ann (Brennan) Martin of Newburgh
Patricia Ann (Brennan) Martin, 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on
Monday, January 14, 2013 at Horizons Rehab Center. She was born in
Evansville on December 3, 1927 to the late Donald and Cecelia (Joest)
Brennan.
She graduated from Reitz Memorial High School and St. Mary's School of
Nursing and practiced nursing in a variety of settings.
She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in
Newburgh where she enjoyed opportunities to serve, ranging from school
nurse to Eucharistic minister and for some years was coordinator for
bereavement meals. She was very proud to be a recipient of the Brute
Award. She enjoyed sewing and needlework; her work included
bridesmaids and wedding dresses for her family. In her later years, she
enjoyed traveling with her husband, Paul, as well as tour groups.
Survivors include, her husband of 52 years, Paul of Newburgh; nine
children, Daniel of Evansville, Gerard (Rebecca) of Boston, Ky, Paula
Ringwald (Mike) of Loogootee, IN, Vicky Hime (Scott) of Greensburg, IN,
Lawrence (Karen) of Rockport, IN, Tom (Angela) of Newburgh, Barb
Ringwald (Charlie) of Cambridge City, IN, Vince (Kim) Poseyville, IN, and
Jim (Karen) of Evansville; twenty-four grandchildren, Jeremy, Elizabeth
(Mike) Roman, Johnny (Mary), Emily, Jacob, Jennifer (Jeremy) Holt, Tim
(Shelley) Ringwald, Eric (Michelle) Ringwald, Maria Ringwald, Courtney
Hime, Tucker Hime, Andy, Chris, Katy, Alex, Mallory, Nicholas Ringwald,
Caleb Ringwald, Christi Ringwald, Jessi Ringwald, Grant, Ellason, Isaac,
Grace; six great-grandchildren, Isabella Roman, Laura, Madeline, Marie
Ringwald, Claire Ringwald, Eva Ringwald; sister, Mary Jane Watson of
Irving TX; sisters-in-law, Alice & JoAnn; many nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald
and Jack Brennan.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at
Horizons Rehab Center for their wonderful care and compassion over the
last few weeks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013
at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh, IN
officiated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Ziliak and Rev. Fr. John Breidenbach with
entombment to follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013
with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~
Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314 and
Friday morning, 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
