Patricia (Pat) Anne Dunbar Hardesty, 76, of Newburgh, passed away,
Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at home. She was born January 11, 1935, in
Evansville to Joseph Paul and Catherine Rose (Hardy) Dunbar. She was a
member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. She was
retired owner and operator of Zesto (Riverside) restaurant. Pat was a
longtime volunteer at St. John's church and at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Catherine, and by
her husband of 51 years, George "Tom" Hardesty in 2006.
Pat is survived by 11 children, Anna & her spouse Earl Matthews, Stephen
Hardesty & his spouse Gayle, Daniel Hardesty & his spouse Mary, Kathleen
& her spouse Frank Pepe, David Hardesty, Todd Hardesty & his spouse
Peggy, Rebecca & her spouse Jerry Hofmann, Susan & her spouse Joseph
Weber, Juliana & her spouse Chad Bennett, Sarah & her spouse James
Ward, Joseph Hardesty & his spouse Lisa; 32 grandchildren and 6 1/2 great
grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Paul & his spouse Sheila
Dunbar, and her longtime friend, Doris Ann Greubel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 8 2011, at St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh, Father Joseph
Ziliak will officiate and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Evansville.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Titzer Family Funeral
Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St., Newburgh, (812) 853-8314.
A prayer service will be at 7:30. Additional visitation is 10 a.m. to service
time at church.
The family would like to thank Dr. Karl Sash & Brandy from Southern Care
Hospice.
