Paul Clayton Pierce
Paul Clayton Pierce, 78, of Evansville,
passed away early morning, Monday, June
2, 2008 at Parkview Care Center with his
wife and niece by his side.
Paul was born July 14, 1929, the son of Al
and Lily (Harrison) Pierce. He served in the
United States Army during the Korean War.
He married Jo Ann Harlen in 1955 at
Washington Ave. Baptist Church by the
Reverend J. Howard Clayman.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Jo
Ann, having never spent a day apart for the
past fifty-three years; one brother, Don
Pierce and his wife, Marty of Petersburg,
Kentucky; also his loving in-laws, Wanda
and Jerry Duncan and loving niece, Angela
Duncan. Also surviving are nieces and
nephews, Scott and (Sandy), Bobby and
(Susie), Linda , Debbie and (Bud), Danny
and (Barbara), Carole and (George), Cathy
and (Ray), Sharon, Jerry, Carol Jean,
Steven, Lori and (Joel); twenty-three great-
nieces and nephews and thirteen great-
great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
sisters, Delores, Ferol, Esther, and Wanda
Sue; brothers, Robert and Gene.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m.,
Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Titzer Family
Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E.
Columbia St. Evansville, Indiana. Dr.
James Frazier will officiate.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. to
service time at the funeral home.
A graveside committal service will be held
at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2008 at
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
