Paul L. Garner

Paul Garner, 70, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  He was born on October 17, 1946 to Paul and Louise Garner. 

Paul graduated from Castle High School in 1964.  He worked 47 years in the packing and shipping department at Alcoa.  He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.  Paul served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Kapperman Post #44.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Danny and Linda.  He is survived by his wife, Sherry Garner; son, Rich Garner of Sacramento, CA; step-children, Cory Shepherd of Terre Haute, IN, Cana Lingenfelter of Rochester, IN, Cade Shepherd of Newburgh; and several grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 4455 Epworth Rd., Newburgh, IN.  Pastor Danny Barr will officiate.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Kapperman Post #44.
