Paul Joseph Mills, 78 of Evansville, passed away on November 3rd. 2011. He leaves behind daughters, Vicky Ellard, Paula (Kevin) Smith both of Evansville and Laura (Michael) Moody of Newburgh; grandchildren, Sharla and Roxy Babb, Stefanie Scales and Jason Ellard and 6 great-grandchildren. Paul was a 1951 Memorial High Graduate where he boxed and won the 1951 Bengal Bout Heavyweight Championship title. He was honorably discharged a Sgt. 1st. Class after serving with the 224th. Infantry in the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, U.N. Service Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal for selfless devotion to duty that reflects great credit upon him and the United States Army. He was a Distribution Superintendent for Earthgrains before retiring after 42 years. The Family would like to thank Dr. Titzer and staff at OHA and to Dr. Jennifer Halpern at Vanderbilt. Our words cannot express how blessed we were to have you as a doctor. You went far beyond what your job required and we are forever grateful. As his wishes, a private memorial service will be held November 8, 2011. Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN are handling arrangements.
