Peggy Jean Pruitt, age 89, of Newburgh, IN, passed away March 14, 2015. She was born June 29, 1925 in Lawrenceville, IL. Peggy was the daughter of Virgil Berry and Eva Marie (Sanders) Berry. Peggy worked at George Field Air Force Base and also held a Real Estate License. Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents Marie Hardacre and Virgil Berry; husband Claude, son Thomas and daughter Jill; brothers, D. Berry and LD Berry; twin sister, Patty Yoho. Survived by one son Jeff [Deborah] Pruitt of Jacksonville FL; one step granddaughter Melissa McLeod {Curtis} and one step great grandson Corbin of Richmond VA; five nieces: Dea Weger of rural Bridgeport, IL; Janet Thomas of Lawrenceville, IL; Jane Flannagan {Duane} of Jasper, IN; Jo Bailey of Houston, TX; and Brenda Lindsey{Bill} of Hernando FL. A graveside service will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, Ind. Arrangements are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Home, Newburgh Chapel (812) 853-8314.
