Peggy Sue Wilson
Peggy Sue Wilson, 75, of Newburgh passed away Thursday, February 19,
2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born August 3, 1933 in
Union County Kentucky to John Major & Virginia (O'Nan) Henshaw. Peggy
was a graduate of Chandler High School in 1951. She was a member of the
4-H and the Women's Home Extension Club of Warrick County for many
years. Mrs. Wilson taught Sunday School for many years and was of the
United Methodist Faith. She was also a member of the United Methodist
Women's Group. She attended the University of Evansville and Deaconess
School of Nursing receiving her Masters Degree in Education from U of E.
She taught at the Deaconess School of Nursing for over 20 years and had
worked in the Neonatal Unit at Deaconess. She also served on the Board
for the Warrick County Council on Aging and United Methodist Youth Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Peggy is survived by her
husband of 50 years, Frank "Bill" Wilson, and son, John T. Wilson, both of
Newburgh, daughter, Suzanne L. Wilson, MD., of North Carolina.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at
the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St.,
Newburgh IN. 47630 , (812) 853-8314, officiated by Rev. Joseph Easley,
with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery Boonville IN.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Tuesday, February 24, 2009 and from 9
AM, until service time at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel
in Newburgh.
