Ralph Edward Kaiser, 84, of Newburgh,
passed away, Sunday, January 25, 2009
at Newburgh Health Care. He was born
November 29, 1924 to William and Mary
(Berfanger) Kaiser.
He was a graduate Newburgh High School
in 1943. He served overseas in
the United States Army during WWII with
14th Armored Division in Germany.
He served eight years as baseball
commissioner for Newburgh Little League,
and was a member of Warrick County
Planning Commission, and Zoning Board,
was a Precinct Committee member for
Ohio Township, and a member of the Ohio
Township Advisory Board. He retired after
35 years with Southern Indiana
Gas and Electric, and was owner and
operator of the Homestead Restaurant in
Newburgh from 1972 to 1979. He was a
member of St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church, the American Legion and
the VFW.
Ralph is survived by his wife of fifty-eight
years, Virginia (Seiler)
Kaiser; four sons, Kenneth W. Kaiser
(Dorothy) of Newburgh, Gregory R.
Kaiser
(Nancy) of Rockport, Gerald W. Kaiser
(Donna) of Newburgh, and Kevin J.
Kaiser
(Jamie) of Boonville; nine grandchildren,
Travis Kaiser, Tessa Strauser,
Craig Kaiser, Brandon Kaiser, Wendy
Issac, Maureen Barton, Kris Ann Tapp,
Jacob Kaiser, and Shelby Kaiser; ten great-
grandchildren, Jesse Deneke,
Alec, Jaret, & Lilah Strauser, Jordan,
Sidney, Kora, Dagan, Addison,
Madelyn.
three sisters, Kathleen Weiss of Princeton,
Margaret Welte of Newburgh, and
Hilda Titzer of Richland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11
a.m., Thursday, January 29,
2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh,
Indiana. Rev. Fr. Lowell Will officiating with
burial in St. Rupert's
Cemetery, Redbrush. The American
Legion, Kapperman Post#44 will conduct
military graveside rites.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at
Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson
Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh,
Indiana with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Additional visitation will be

church.
