Rhonda Jean (Lamping) Ward

Rhonda Jean (Lamping) Ward, 60, of Evansville, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 29, 2024.

Rhonda was born on September 27, 1964 in Oakland City, IN to loving parents Ronald Clair Ward and Jacqueline Jean (Remole) Ward. Rhonda graduated Center Grove High School in 1983 and went on to earn her dental assisting degree. After raising her daughters, she began a fulfilling career she was proud of as a relocation coordinator and director at ERA First Advantage. Rhonda loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her cherished grandchildren. Rhonda enjoyed traveling and particularly loved girls trips with her daughters and spending time on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. She will be remembered as caring, generous, and loving as well as strong willed and witty. She had a smile that was infectious and an energy and laugh that was contagious. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone she knew. 

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Jacqueline Ward. She is survived by her daughters Abbie (Kris) Haner, Allie (Timothy) Alexander, and Kellsie (Devin) Kelley; her grandchildren Penelope Haner, Hudson Haner, Scarlett Alexander, Mila Haner and soon to be Harper Kelley; Kesley (Collin) Powers); sister Rhanda Steele (Kevin); nephew Anthony Steele and niece Alyss Schoenbaechler.

A funeral service will be held in Rhonda’s honor on October 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel 510 W Jennings St Newburgh IN. A visitation will be held on the same day, also at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel, starting at 11:00 a.m. and ending at the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service and take place at Mauck Cemetery in Owensville, IN.
