Richard H. "Dick" Pepper
Richard "Dick" Pepper, 79, of Evansville,
passed away, after a three month
battle with liver cancer, Saturday, August
16, 2008, at Parkview Care
Center with his daughter, Vicky and
granddaughter, Danyelle at his side.
Richard was born, July 29, 1929 in
Evansville, to Frank Pepper and Hazel
(Cox) Pepper who preceded him in death.
He married Anna Misof on August 15,
1953. Richard was an electrician and
retired from the United States Air Force in
1969 as an aircraft electrical
specialist SSgt. He graduated from
Lockyear College on December 14, 1976
with an Associate Degree in Business
Management and earned a Bechelor of
Science Degree on May 12, 1979 from
Brescia College. He worked for Sigeco
until his retirement in 1979.
He was a member of VFW #1114. Richard
loved to go to the Casino Boat every
Wednesday with his wife, Anna. He enjoyed
fishing, and he loved to sit on
his back porch and watch the ducks on the
lake every morning.
Surviving "Dick", are his wife of 55 years,
Anna (Misof) Pepper; four
children, Irene Schatz of Germany, James
Pepper of Florida, Susan Pepper of
Evansville, and Vicky Pepper of Wadesville;
five grandchildren, Michael and
Wendy Pepper, Leroy VanHorn, Justin
Carter, and Danyelle Smiddy;
great-granddaughter, Makali Carter and
foster great-granddaughter, Mya
Burkes.
Richard faithfully donated to several
charities. Memorial contributions
may be made to any of the following:
Cancer Association, Leukemia
Foundation, Humane Society, America's
Wounded Troops, Children of Africa,
Families of Disabled Veterans, Heart
Association, Fraternal Order of
Police, or the Armed Forces Aid
Campaign.
At the request of Richard there will be no
visitation or service.

Evansville, Indiana.
