Richard Earl Lasher, 78, of North Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Newburgh, passed away April 12, 2014. He was born September 17, 1935 in Perry County, IN to the late Alfred and Ruth (Van Winkle) Lasher. He served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann; children, Kevin, Richard, Randall, and Pamela Nissley; brothers, Donnie & Sheldon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh. Rev. Fr. Thomas Kessler will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Kapperman Post 44 . Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St., Newburgh (812) 853-8314.
