Robert F. "Bob" Latham, 74, of Newburgh, passed away, Tuesday, December 20,
2011 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1937, in Evansville, to Beatrice
(Freece) and Eugene Latham. He was a graduate of Central High School "Class of
1955", attended U of E for three years, and served in the United States Army in
Germany for three years. Bob retired in 1994 from Bristol Myers after thirty-seven
years of service and worked as a school bus driver for the Warrick County School
Corporation for sixteen years.
Bob was a loving father and husband, a hard working man who always put his family
first. A member of Crossroads Christian Church, he loved God and his church. He
was a member of Craig Ritchie's 2:42 group and Jack Arney's Sunday school class.
He served in the Hospitality Ministries in the café and Communion Prep until his
health prevented his participation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patsy (Latham) Goodman.
Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa (Maday) Latham; daughters, Debbie
(Latham) Klein (Don) of Carmel, IN , Elizabeth "Beth" Latham of Terre Haute, IN; sons,
Robert F. Latham, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Matthew "Matt" Latham (Sarah Rush) of
Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Justin, Ali, and Meg Klein, Jacob and Michaela Latham,
and great-grandson, Jayden Latham; brothers, Ronald "Ronnie" Latham (Connie),
Eugene "Gene" Latham (Rosemary), Michael "Mike" Latham all of Evansville; sister,
Charlotte (Latham) Singleton, of TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to VNA Charlier
Hospice, Crossroads Christian Church AGAPE fund, or PAAWS Animal Rescue, PO
Box 115 Newburgh, IN 47629.
Family wishes to thank Bill "Doc" Tuley, family physician; John Collins, VNA nurse;
and Greg Barnett, VNA chaplain, for their care.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 28. 2011 at Titzer
Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN.
Reverend Jack Arney and Chaplain Greg Barnett will officiate. A private burial will be
held at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the
