Robert J. Wargel of Newburgh, Ind.
Robert J. Wargel, 64, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at home. He
was born September 10, 1948, to Simon Louis and Helen Rose (Doerr)
Wargel, in Evansville.
Robert graduated from Evansville North High School and served in the
United States Army. He was a tool maker since high school and started his
own business in 1995, Stellar Technologies, Inc. in Newburgh. He was a
member of St. Rupert's Catholic Church where he was active in the Men's
Club and the Parish Council. Robert enjoyed fishing, spending time with
his grandchildren, and coaching his children in soccer and baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eugene, Allen and
Frances Seib. Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bernadette
Wargel; children, Robert J. Wargel, II, John D. Wargel (Robyn), Julie Elliott
(David); grandchildren, Daniel, Jason, Timothy, and Graham Wargel,
Makayla, and Madalyn Elliott; brothers, Kenny Wargel, and Ron Wargel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013,
at St. Rupert's Catholic Church, 1244 Red Brush Rd, Newburgh, Ind.,
Father Lowell Will officiating and burial to follow at the church cemetery with
Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Kapperman Post 44
Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Titzer Family
Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind.,
(812) 853-8314, with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will
be held Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
