Robert R. Hill, 64, of Spurgeon, IN, formerly of Washington, IN, passed away Friday December 12, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born January 18, 1950 in Washington, IN to Robert A. and Verline B. Hill. He graduated from Washington High School. Robert was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Elberfeld. He worked for Ryder Logistics for some 40 years, as a service technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. and son, Michael Hill. Robert is survived by his wife, Cathy (Weiss) Hill; mother, Verline B. Hill of Washington, IN; father-in-law, Clarence Weiss of Boonville, IN; daughter of the heart, Patty Stewart of Evansville; grandchildren of the heart, Matt and Meghan Stewart of Evansville; brothers, Joe Hill (Connie) of Patricksburg, IN, Marvin Hill of Grandview, IN; sisters, Teresa Baldwin (Jim) of Effingham, IL, and Sue Lents (Tim) of Washington, IN; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday December 15, 2014 at Zion United Church of Christ, 165 Elm St. Elberfeld, IN. Pastor Janet Buente will officiate with burial in Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, 2nd. & Elm Sts. Elberfeld, IN and Monday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
